The idea that many of our used shoes simply end up in the trash made us think. Second Life is our project that gives used shoes a second chance. We launched this program in 2021 with the goal of conserving resources and taking social responsibility.

How Does Second Life Work?
In our workshop, we manually refresh wearable shoes. We repair what is necessary – replace laces, renew insoles, and ensure that the next wearer enjoys the shoes just as much as the first. Used for you does not mean used for someone else!
But not all shoes are still wearable. If that’s the case, we carefully dismantle them to reuse the materials as much as possible. For us, the life of a shoe doesn’t end when it’s no longer wearable.
Your Help Makes a Difference
- Donate: Bring your used shoes to one of our kybun Joya stores and support people who cannot afford new shoes. Your donation helps change the lives of many – over 45,000 pairs of shoes have already reached people in need.
- Recycling: When a shoe reaches the end of its lifespan, we recycle it. From the soft, elastic soles, we create Bounce-Grain – a springy material that helps us make new, valuable products. Bounce-Grain is used for products such as yoga mats or acoustic panels, helping to reduce waste and utilize resources sustainably.
Together for a Better Future
With your help, we can achieve more. Together, we can not only protect the environment but also support people who need our help the most. Second Life is our contribution to a sustainable, social, and ecological future. Help us reach even more people and make the world a better place.
